Clear Socketed Runes — Cube Recipe

In short

To clear runes already in sockets, cube one Hel rune + one Chipped gem + the item. The runes inside are destroyed — you do not get them back. Empty sockets stay on the item (including Larzuk sockets).

Steps

  1. 1.

    Get one Hel rune.

  2. 2.

    Get one Chipped gem (any color). Higher gem tiers do not work.

  3. 3.

    Cube them with the socketed item and transmute.

  4. 4.

    You keep empty sockets; the old runes/gems are gone.

  5. 5.

    Socket again in the correct runeword order.

Common mistakes

• You do not recover the runes — they are destroyed. • Must be Hel, not another rune. • Gem must be Chipped. • Same recipe for helm, weapon, armor, shield.
