[Notice] Ladder 15 · Patch 3.3 — Starts Aug 22, 9:00 a.m. KST / Shared Stash and item changes
Hello, this is WayPoint.
Blizzard has published the schedule for Ladder Season 15 and Patch 3.3.
Below is a play-oriented summary of the official notes. Numbers and wording in the official patch notes always take priority.
1. Schedule (Korea time)
| Date and time | What happens |
|---|---|
| August 18 (Tue) 3:00 a.m. | Ladder 14 ends |
| August 19 (Wed) | Patch 3.3 rollout begins |
| August 22 (Sat) 9:00 a.m. | Ladder 15 starts |
From this season on, the patch lands first, and the ladder opens a few days later. Later seasons will likely follow a similar gap.
Use the official announcement for each region's start time. Asia (Korea) is August 22, 9:00 a.m.
2. Check this first — Shared Stash
When Ladder 14 ends, this is what happens.
- Ladder characters move to Non-Ladder.
- Items that were in the Shared Stash go into Withdraw Only tabs. (the check-marked “Past” box)
- Season 13 items still sitting in those Withdraw Only tabs are deleted at that moment.
- Season 14 items can be withdrawn during Season 15.
- When the next season ends and this tab is overwritten, any Season 14 items you did not withdraw disappear too.
Do this now
- Check the Season 13 Withdraw Only tabs and empty them now
- Sort the Season 14 Shared Stash for items you want on Non-Ladder
- Plan ahead for expensive items you will not use right after Season 15 starts
“I’ll pull it later” is the riskiest habit.
3. Patch 3.3 — what changes
This patch is not a large content drop like a new class. It is closer to a bundle of old ladder items unlocking on Non-Ladder + early-item tuning + Terror Zone reward tweaks + bug fixes.
3-1. Former ladder-only → usable on Non-Ladder
When Season 15 opens, the runewords below can be used on Non-Ladder as well.
Non-Ladder build options get wider, and it is easier to keep using the same setups after a season ends.
3-2. Some unique and set stat changes
Versions with changed mods are ladder-only by the official notes. (Reign of the Warlock only. Treat Classic and Lord of Destruction base stats as a separate case.)
When you trade or appraise, it is safer to tell pre-patch stats apart from post-3.3 ladder stats.
Easier early game and leveling
| Item | Change | How it feels |
|---|---|---|
| The Battlebranch | Required level 25 → 17, base item level 34 → 30 | You can pick it up much earlier |
| Pluckeye | +25% Increased Attack Speed | Better early bow tempo |
| Rogue's Bow | +[1-3] to Cold Arrow or Fire Arrow (Amazon) | Early skill bows are more valuable |
| Bloodletter | +20% Faster Run/Walk | Movement and leveling feel smoother |
| Manald Heal | +10% Faster Run/Walk | Extra FRW in a ring slot |
| Blinkbat's Form | Faster Run/Walk 10% → 30%, +1 To Mana After Each Kill | Early armor FRW and mana sustain |
| The Ward | Socketed (1) | Room for one rune or jewel |
| Angelic Raiment set | 3-piece: Angelic Sickle Damage +6, Angelic Mantle +100% Damage to Undead / full set +1 to All Skills | More reason to finish the set |
Caster items feel different
| Item | Change | How it feels |
|---|---|---|
| Bane Ash | Attack speed and enhanced damage removed → +20% Faster Cast Rate | Redefined from an attack stick to a caster stick |
| Gravenspine | +10% Faster Cast Rate | Early Faster Cast Rate help |
In one line: this is not an endgame unique overhaul. It tunes early/mid tempo, a few caster items, and the Angelic set.
3-3. Terror Zones · Colossal Ancients
| Change | In plain terms |
|---|---|
| Higher chance of Rare-or-better items from Herald tier 3+ | Better rewards if you actually fight Heralds |
| Latent Sunder Charm minimum level 69 → 75 | Fewer in low brackets; more centered on high level |
| Magic Find chance for Latent Sunder Charms reduced (Herald drops unchanged) | Sweeping maps just for charms is less efficient |
| Magic Find Latent Sunder Charms → Hell difficulty only | This path does not drop them in Normal or Nightmare |
| Worldstone Shard drop rate down, but one extra item drops with a shard | Shards themselves get rarer; the shard drop gets a bonus |
| Ancient Statue drop rate down | Related material routes get a bit tighter |
Summary
- Farming Latent Sunder Charms and Worldstone Shards with Magic Find is weaker,
- and high-tier Herald rewards matter more.
Keep that in mind when you plan farm routes.
3-4. Bug fixes (the ones you will feel)
Warlock
- Bind Demon extra damage was higher than intended (it may feel weaker than before)
- Sigil: Death — mana was spent on a failed cast; Fire Skills bonus was not applying
- Miasma Chain was hitting allies and neutrals
Combat and drops
- Getting stuck in Leap’s landing animation
- Some bosses losing AI behavior
- Council Members as Heralds dropping nothing
QoL and Chronicle
- Could not buy keys in bulk from Hratli with a controller
- Off-screen item names flashing briefly
- Chronicle item display and eligibility messages (already registered but still shown; missing in 8-player games)
4. Worth doing before Season 15
- Empty the Season 13 Withdraw Only tabs
- Sort the Season 14 Shared Stash (keep / drop)
- Decide whether to keep Non-Ladder builds going with the newly unlocked items
- Early route: keep the new mods on The Battlebranch, Pluckeye, the Angelic set, and Blinkbat's Form in mind
- Reset expectations for Terror Zone / Herald routes (Latent Sunder Charms, Worldstone Shards)
- Warlock players: double-check builds around Bind Demon and Sigil: Death
5. What WayPoint is preparing
We will update the site in order as the patch lands.
First
- Changed unique/set stats, and ladder-only flags
- Terror Zone / drop notes (Latent Sunder Charms, Worldstone Shards, Herald rewards)
- Season schedule and stash warnings
Around season open
- Leveling and season-start copy
- Make sure appraisal and dictionary views do not stay on old numbers
Between the patch and season open, some entries may still show previous values for a short time. We will say so in the comments on this post or in a follow-up once the update is done.
