Patch 3.3 Drop-Mechanik Tiefenanalyse: Makellose Edelsteine, Herold-Extra-Kisten, TZ-Boss-QF
1. Why Flawless Gems Are Dropping in Huge Numbers
Many players have noticed that Flawless Gems are dropping much more frequently in Patch 3.3 (Season 15). Data analysis reveals that the internal gem weights did not change, but the base probability of monsters rolling the Good slot increased by 15% to 30%.
① 14th vs 15th Season Champion / Unique Base Roll Comparison
- Champion Monsters (
Act (H) Citem):- Season 14: Gold 60, Equip 37, Good 3, Shard 3 (Total 103) / Good Chance: 2.91%
- Season 15 : Gold 84, Equip 41, Good 5, Shard 3 (Total 133) / Good Chance: 3.76% (+29.2% increase)
- Unique Monsters (
Act (H) Uitem):- Season 14: Equip 58, Good 4, Shard 2 (Total 64) / Good Chance: 6.25%
- Season 15 : Equip 75, Good 6, Shard 2 (Total 83) / Good Chance: 7.23% (+15.7% increase)
② Hell Good Slot Internal Gem Distribution (Total Weight: 130)
- Jewelry / Charms / Jewels (
Jewelry C): Weight 60 - Flawless Gem (
Flawless Gem): Weight 28 (50% of all gems are Flawless) - Normal Gem: 14 / Flawed Gem: 10 / Chipped Gem: 4 / Runes: 14
Regardless of Worldstone Shard drops, the chance to roll the Good slot on Champions/Uniques increased by 15-30%. Combined with Heralds rolling 5 item picks and Shard bonus packs, Flawless Gems pile up rapidly.
2. Herald 5-Tier Extra Box Structure
"When defeating a Tier 5 Herald, 5 items drop. Why is QF 870 applied to only 2 of them?"
Diablo II's drop system uses a hierarchical box-in-a-box container structure:
① Tier 5 Herald (Act 5 Herald C) Container Layout
- [Normal Box * 2] : Base QF 800 (Standard boss drop rates)
- [1 Extra Box * 1] : QF 850 (1.29x Unique multiplier)
- [2 Extra Box * 2] : QF 870 (1.45x Unique / 2.35x Rare highest tier multiplier)
In Season 14, all 5 slots were left at base QF 800. In Patch 3.3, Blizzard updated 1 Extra to QF 850 and 2 Extra to QF 870. The top 1.45x boost applies specifically to the 2 picks from the 2 Extra box.
3. Terror Zone (TZ) Boss QF and Unique Mechanics
"Do Terror Zone bosses have a higher QF setting than normal bosses?"
No. Terror Zone bosses have the exact same Unique: 983 (Quest: 993) QF as normal bosses. The QF itself did not increase.
Uniques drop in abundance due to:
- 3-Stage Discount Formula: Level difference subtraction
(mlvl - qlvl) / Divisoris maximized at mlvl 99, drastically reducing the dice denominator before MF and QF are applied. - Zero Failed Uniques: Because mlvl is 99 (exceeding all unique item qlvls up to 87), items never downgrade into 3x durability rares.
- TC 87 Fully Unlocked: End-game bases (Diadem, Shako, Windforce, Tyrael's) become fully accessible.
